Products I'm Loving Right Now!

Hiya everyone! Hope you're all okay!

There are a few products that I have been L O V I N G at the moment so I thought I'd take a while to share them with you, maybe give you some inspiration if you're looking for new products to try out.

Firstly, I know these little suckers aren't going to be new news to anyone. I'm a bit late to the party but fashionably late. Obvs. They are the "Models Own Egg Shaped Makeup Applicators" a variant of the beauty blender, which I know everyone has heard of.
I was reluctant to try them out because I used to use makeup sponges to apply my makeup and I found they just got dirty far too quickly and ended up smelling a bit weird. I think it was the sponges I had purchased because they always left a weird plastic smell on my face. No bueno. But I heard how much people had loved these sponges so, I took the plunge.
The packet states to wet the sponges before tapping them over your foundation to create a flawless look but, I found I prefer to use them dry. When they're wet they seem to pick up too much makeup from the face, which isn't cool. But when I used them dry, I instantly fell in love. They really do help to smooth out your makeup getting rid of any streaks or uneven patches, leaving you with a genuinely flawless base. I'm not sure if I'll try the actual Beauty Blender, I might use these for a little while longer and see how I feel. The Beauty Blender is priced at £26 while the Models Own version is a lot more affordable. Not sure on the exact price but I'd say around £6-£8. Plus you get two!

Secondly, I have discovered an absolute game changer. I know, I'm a bit late to this party too but I'm so glad I decided to try it out because I'm in heaven.
Unfortunately like a lot of people, I inherited dark circles under my eyes. Always there, no matter how tired or rested I am, they're a permanent fixture to my face. Thanks mum.
I have been using MAC Studio Finish concealer for about 2 years, which doesn't come in a very big pot and was costing me about £16 a go.
I was in Boots the other day and my eyes drifted over to this particular concealer. The Lasting Perfection from Collection 2000 (or Collection, I don't know what they call themselves anymore) and I remembered I had read countless good reviews for this product so I thought at £3.99 why not try it out?! Honestly, I was skeptical. I know that sometimes expensive doesn't always mean good but I thought concealer was always something you had to splurge on. But hallelujah I was wrong.
This concealer does such a good job of concealing and brightening my under eye circles that I have completely no use for the rest of my Studio Finish!

I always like to have a good hand moisturiser. I have to carry one around with me otherwise I do genuinely feel a little bit lost. I was wondering around Primark the other day and by the till they always put little cosmetic things to encourage impulse buys, and damn it they got me. For £3 you really cannot go wrong with this one. It smells gorgeous and it contains keratin for a "deeply moisturising treatment to heal dry hands and 10x stronger nails in 2 weeks"
I can't really comment on the stronger nails thing because I find that my nails have been breaking just as much as usual but for the moisturising purposes it's brilliant.

Lastly, I have been into these nail varnishes more than I should be. I adore them. I have been so ready for Autumn/Winter to kick in and I'm so happy it seems to be starting.
These deep red shades are my absolute favourite colour to wear around this time of year. They're pretty much the same colour, but the Maybelline is slightly lighter.
The Maybelline is from their Super Stay Gel Nail collection and the colour is "06 deep red" and is priced at £3.70
The Rimmel is from their Lycra Pro Professional Finish collection and the colour is "391 Celebrity Bash" and is priced at £4.49

I hope you've enjoyed reading about what I've been using lately. I'm so excited for this time of year!

    1. I will say, when you first open them they do have a smell to them but I washed them before I used them and that made the smell disappear :) .x

  6. I love the beauty blender, if you want a flawless high coverage base beauty blenders do the job. I have heaps of scars and I find using this over a foundation brush works better. I guess those who already have flawless skin can work with foundation brushes, but I always use this over areas on my face which are scarred. Great post. I'm definitely going to read about the lasting perfection concealer, because I'm the queen of dark circles x
