Rose Gold Make Up Look

Hi! I hope you're good.

On this lazy Sunday I thought I'd play around with some make up and see what I could come up with. This was the result. A rose gold inspired look which is HEAVY on the glow. You step out of the front door wearing this and aliens in space will think you're beaming them home.
Instead of taking pictures of every product I used, I'll link every product to the brand site, which will tell you some more about it; and you can buy it if you want!

First thing I did was get my face read for makeup by using Benefit's POREfessional primer. I absolutely ADORE this primer! It makes my face feel so unbelievably smooth and it completely erases any visible pores.

Then I applied Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation all over my face. It's 'fruit therapy' formula leaves your skin really hydrated, without slipping off during the day. If you have quite dry skin, you need to try this! Take your time applying and blending the foundation, you want the base to seem as flawless as possible for this look.

After foundation, I applied MAC Studio Finish Concealer under my eyes. This concealer is really thick and creamy, perfect for hiding any dark circles or blemishes without looking really cakey. It just seems to melt into your skin, not just sit on top. Which is a bonus!

I skipped on the powder for this look and moved straight onto adding some GLOW to this face. Firstly I added some Makeup Revolution Radiance Lights powder highlighter. This adds a pretty subtle gold glow, which blends perfectly with the next product. Which is a creamly, highly pigmented gold from this Kryolan Lip Shine Circle. This is the product that basically made the whole effect you can see in the image! It's incredible.

After this, I finished my eyes. I lined them and added a little wing, using Collection's Fast Stroke Black Liquid Eyeliner. I cut the crease of my eye really really subtly using a rose coloured eye shadow from a Makeup Revolution palette. To finish the eyes I set my brows with Benefit Browzings duo.

Finally on my lips, I used MAC Please Me. Which is a beautiful matte finish rose shade, and on top of that I added more of the gold lip shine from Kryolan.

As for the effect, the other night I was playing around with the light settings on Instagram (as you do) and I noticed you can get up to some pretty cool shenanigans. I turned the brightness waaay up on the first picture, then down on the second. Bringing up the 'highlight' effect, and turning down the warmth. It's basically the same effect as using a dimming effect on a light bulb! It only really focuses the light on the highlighted areas :)

I hope you enjoyed this!
